Introduction
This privacy notice applies to the processing of your personal data by Versuni. It explains how we process your personal data when you interact with us in the context of the job application process.
Versuni in this context means any entity belonging to the group of companies, together or on its own referred to as Versuni. The main controller for the processing activities set out in this privacy notice, is Versuni Netherlands B.V. (Claude Debussylaan 88, 1082MD Amsterdam, The Netherlands).
The terms and definitions used in this privacy notice should be interpreted in line with the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The GDPR forms the basis of Versuni’s privacy policy. This means the requirements according to which we process personal data meet the standards of the GDPR.
Why do we need your personal data?
Versuni processes your personal data only when we have a legal basis to do so.
- We process your personal data in light of the recruitment and application process.
- We process your personal data when it is required for the execution of the employment contract with you.
- We may process your personal data for our company’s legitimate interests, for instance workforce management and/or protecting company property and assets and the wellbeing of our employees. We will only process your personal data for Versuni’s legitimate interests when the processing does not outweigh your privacy rights and interests.
- We may process your personal data to comply with a legal or regulatory obligation to which we are subject, for example, if we are requested by a governmental tax authority to disclose personal data for audit purposes; and
- In some circumstances, we may ask you for your explicit consent to process your personal data.
For certain reasons, it may be necessary to process special categories of personal data, or what is more commonly referred to as sensitive data. Versuni only processes such personal data where it is required or authorized by law (employment, social security, social protection, or other applicable law), or in case of legal claims. We kindly request you not to share sensitive data with us when this is not required.
If we need to process sensitive personal data for occupational medicine or to assess your ability to work, Versuni will only do so under the responsibility of a health professional subject to the obligation of professional secrecy, such as a medical practitioner, as required by law.

With whom do we share your personal data?
We may also share your personal data with third parties, outside the Versuni group of companies, including the following:
- Service providers: trusted third-party companies that provide products and services to us such as IT systems and support, payroll and employee expense support, and benefits and rewards administration.
- Public and Governmental Authorities: when required by law, or as necessary to protect our rights, we may share your personal data with public and governmental authorities that regulate or have jurisdiction over us.
- Professional advisors: we work with and receive support from certain professional advisors such as banks, insurance companies, auditors, lawyers, accountants, and payroll advisors.
- Other third parties in connection with corporate transactions: we may share your personal data during corporate transactions, such as during a sale of (a part of) our business to another company, or any reorganization, merger, joint venture, or other disposition of (a part of) our business, assets, or stock.
International transfer of your personal data
Due to Versuni’s multinational presence, your personal data may be transferred to or accessed by affiliates and trusted third parties from various countries around the world, in relation to your application process.
We may transfer your personal data to countries located outside of the European Economic Area (EEA) and/or outside of your country of residence. These countries may provide a different level of protection of personal data than your country of residence. It is our policy to store personal data in countries recognized by the European Commission as providing an adequate level of protection; however, for countries that are not recognized by the European Commission as providing an adequate level of protection, we have put in place appropriate safeguards to protect your personal data, such as:
- an Intra Group Data Processing agreement, enabling the transfer of your personal data to the extent necessary – between Versuni affiliates; and
- Standard Contractual Clauses which have been adopted by the European Commission, enabling the transfer of your personal data to external third parties in countries out of the EEA.
How long do we keep your personal data?
We retain your personal data as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which the data have been collected. In general, we delete all personal data related to an application which has not resulted in a hire within 3 months after closing of the concerned job vacancy. If you agree with extended retention, we may retain your personal data longer (one year) for future job opportunities. This enables us to connect with you, should another job vacancy become available which may be of interest to you.
How do we keep your personal data secure?
Versuni is committed to maintaining the security of the personal data we process. To protect your personal data, we implement appropriate technical and organizational measures, and we require our service providers to protect the confidentiality and security of your personal data. Depending on the state of the art, the costs of the implementation and the nature of the personal data to be protected, we implement measures to prevent risks such as destruction, loss, misuse, alteration, and unauthorized access to the personal data under our control.
Your privacy responsibilities
Versuni is committed to maintaining your personal data accurate, complete, and up to date. This is not possible without your help. Please ensure that the personal data you share with us is accurate, complete, and up to date. Please inform Versuni of changes to your personal data by updating your application in the application tool.
When you share personal data of other individuals with us, for example data of your dependents, please ensure you act in compliance with applicable privacy laws and inform these individuals about this.
In your application process with Versuni, you may have access to personal data relating to Versuni employees, contractors, consumers, customers, and other individuals. You are responsible to treat personal data with confidence, and not to disclose, share or otherwise transfer this to any unauthorized third party.
Your privacy rights
In accordance with applicable law, you have certain rights with respect to the processing of your personal data by Versuni. These rights enable you to:
- obtain information on the processing of your personal data.
- obtain a copy of your personal data in a machine-readable format.
- object to the processing of your personal data (to a certain extent).
- have your personal data rectified, deleted, or their processing restricted (to a certain extent).
- withdraw your consent at any time with future effect (to a certain extent).
